End of Summer Reflection

Hey Guys,            It's September, (sad face) and I start school tomorrow. Today is my last day of Summer. Today I am going to be reflecting on my 2018 summer break. Mostly I'm covering what I completed on my bucket list. Here are the things I completed on my bucket list: 1. Go shopping at Claire's accessories - Completed on the second last week of July. 2.  Post a lot more - I'd say I did really well on posting at least once a week, sometimes I even posted twice. 3. Cut my hair - I did this on the 31st of July. 4. Cook almost every or every week - I successfully did this pretty much every week. 5. The things about dance - I practiced a bit and stretched a little bit, but I have some great ideas for choreography. 6. Visit a local farmers market - I didn't visit the one I wanted to, but we went to another several times to buy corn, fruit, and fudge. I really didn't do much this summer, but I went to some family events, hung out with friends, wa

Tour My Desk!

Hey Guys,                 Back to school is coming! I only have 2 weeks left of summer. So, since I use my desk a lot during the school year, I decided to do a desk tour. My desk is from Ikea, and my chair is from JYSK, I think. I got it for my birthday last year. Normally, my desk gets pretty messy during the school year, and some of the things you will see on my desk are not going to be there during the school year, as I will be using it. So, without further ado, let's get started. Here is an overview of my desk: I have four bulletin boards above my desk, and my lamp is from Ikea. On my bulletin boards I normally have my school schedule and dance schedule on my bulletin boards that are on the bottom. On the base of my lamp, in that little case I have my headphones in, and the cube is to connect my phone charging cable with the outlet. My lamp actually has a USB port where my phone normally charges. That thing with the quote is my daily calendar. The page on t

My Back 2 School Essentials

Hey Guys, I'm back with another back to school post! Today I'm sharing the things I always have to bring to school every day or almost every day. Sometimes when I forget these things, it feels weird without them. Well, anyways, let's get started! 1. A Comfy Pair of Sneakers - Last year the shoes I wore almost every day were black converse. And converse last a while too. They're casual, practical and they go with everything.  2. A Water Bottle - I always have to have a water bottle with me. I always fill it up in the morning because the water at school tastes disgusting in my opinion. I bring it to every class in my day. I bring a water bottle that is 24oz., and it lasts me all day.  3. My Watch - Last school year from January to the end of the year I wore a watch. It helped me know what time is was at break or how many minutes until the end of class. The 2 times I forgot it, it was really annoying, I had no idea what time it was.  4. A Book - When I

Some Photography + Some Changes

Hey Guys,          Here is some photography I took the other day on my phone. Just from my backyard. I actually took these before the grass was cut in my backyard. I also took some Polaroids on my Instax the same day. Here are the pictures I took:        There will be some changes coming to my blog in September. # 1. a name change - Well I haven't come up with the perfect name yet, I think I am getting close to the perfect name though. #2. I will change back to posting on the weekend - either Saturday or Sunday, I will decide later. It may also be a bit harder for me to blog since I will have a lot of school and dance (School starts on the 4th). I only have 3 weeks of summer left! Well I hope you enjoyed and are looking forward to seeing all of the coming changes in September. Another post should be coming soon. N♡

N's Tips and Tricks for School Organization and Productivity

Hey Guys,    Since I go back to school in a month, for the entire month of August and into September I am going to be doing some back to school themed posts. I may even post twice a week. Today's post is all about productivity and organization. So without further ado let's get started! 1. Have a planner - I have a planner that I use to write down lists of what I need to accomplish almost every day. I had a planner for school, I didn't really use it though, when I did use it, it was quite useful. Here is my planner currently: It is a recollections mini planner from Micheal's, I do have to say I prefer the "The Happy Planner" planner because you can take out the pages. It's easier because I'm a lefty. You can get them at Micheal's. Here is the planner I am going to be using at school: It comes in a pack of 3 at Micheal's with 2 other notebooks. I will be using it to record my homework, events and activities. 2. Write

My Summer Bucket List Part 2

Hey Guys, Here is part 2 of my summer bucket list. It is almost August so my summer is almost half over! Anyways, without further ado, let's get started. 1. Choreograph something mature/ just in general - So I've been taking a little break from choreographing since May-ish, I have some ideas and I am choreographing something currently to the song "To Build a Home" by the Cinematic Orchestra. I also have an idea for a post about choreography. 2. Discover myself - My goal is that by the end of the summer I can know myself a little bit more. I want to eat healthier, be a lot more confident with my style and myself,  be a bit more flexible and discover new ways of moving my body through dance. 3. Cook every week or almost - So I've cooked almost every week of the summer so far and I really want to continue it for the rest of the summer. It gives my parents a break from cooking as well. 4. Spend less time on Youtube - I watch a lot of Youtube and I

My Summer Bucket List - Part 1

Hey Guys, Today I will be sharing my summer bucket list! My last day of school was on June 28th, I haven't really done much so far and it's been really really hot. But I have some great plans to do before school starts back up again in September. My mom actually inspired me to do this post because she asked me for some things I want to do over the summer, thanks Mom! I will be giving a brief explanation for each thing. Without further ado, let's get started with part 1. 1. Do another ropes course - I did a ropes course last year up at my cottage and it was really fun, I would love to do another one, the one I did on a school camp trip recently was terrible. I want to do either the same one as last year or a different one. 2. Go shopping at Claire's - I don't have a Claire's store that close to where I live and I could of only gone on weekends during the school year. I also have gift cards, so that's another reason to go. 3. Go to a local farmer

Announcement!

Hey Guys, I will have a normal post soon, but I just wanted to say that near the end of the year I will be changing the name of my blog. The Dancing Tween just doesn't fit me or this blog anymore, I have a few ideas but I have not decided on one yet. Maybe there will be a poll in the future. Also I will probably make a blog button and have a button page, the new name of my blog will be on the button. I hope you have a fabulous Mother's Day, Dancing Tween See you soon!

What's in my ballet/dance bag!

Hey Guys, Happy Easter! Today I will be posting about what's in my dance bag. I am taking ballet, jazz and contemporary this year and this is my ballet bag, I don't use it for anything else. With all that aside, let's get started. First, let's start with my dance bag itself. It's from Claire's and I bought it a while ago, the pins are from Michael's, I got them over the summer. There's a separate little pocket on the inside that I have Kleenex, a nail file and my bun kit stored in. The yellow sheet is is something I did in ballet class of things I'm going to improve on and other things. My ballet shoes are canvas Angelo Luzlo brand, one pair I use as spares and one pair I use for class. The syllabus I am taught is the RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) syllabus and it includes something called "Character" that is like Folk dance from a different European country each level. This year it's from Poland, if I remember cor

Book Review: The Secret of the Old Clock

Hey Guys,              Long time no see. Today I will be doing a book review on Nancy Drew: The Secret of the Old Clock by Carolyn Keene. I recently read this book and I really enjoyed it. Fun fact: My mom found 8 books in this series at a thrift store, two of those books were the book I am reviewing today. So without further ado lets get started.           This book is #1 in the series and if you wonder what the cover looks like just google "Nancy Drew" and it will come up in images. This is the revised version published in 1959 by Grosset & Dunlap. It's 20 chapters and 180 pages long. This book did not have a summary blurb any where on the cover or at the front of the book.         The main character in the book is Nancy Drew. Characters that appear a lot in this book are Mr. Drew, Hannah Gruen, Allison and Grace Hoover, the Topham family and Judy, Edna and Mary Turner. This book is set in around 1960 based on some of the images and what Nancy is wearing on th
