N's Tips and Tricks for School Organization and Productivity

Hey Guys,

Since I go back to school in a month, for the entire month of August and into September I am going to be doing some back to school themed posts. I may even post twice a week. Today's post is all about productivity and organization. So without further ado let's get started!

1. Have a planner - I have a planner that I use to write down lists of what I need to accomplish almost every day. I had a planner for school, I didn't really use it though, when I did use it, it was quite useful. Here is my planner currently:

It is a recollections mini planner from Micheal's, I do have to say I prefer the "The Happy Planner" planner because you can take out the pages. It's easier because I'm a lefty. You can get them at Micheal's. Here is the planner I am going to be using at school:

It comes in a pack of 3 at Micheal's with 2 other notebooks. I will be using it to record my homework, events and activities.

2. Write down your due dates - This one is kind of obvious, when you find out your due dates record them. You don't want to miss any and turn things in late when it might lower your grade. Use your planner monthly view or weekly view to write it down. Another thing you can do is to plan your time to ensure you finish it on time or even early!

3. Organize your time after school - It's nice to have a plan for after school, especially if you have activities that put you on a time crunch. After school is time to get homework and projects done, but here's a tip: complete the things that are due sooner first. If you have no activities after school then, DON'T procrastinate. This will let you go without stress and have some fun.

4. Keep your phone in your locker, backpack or desk - Keep your phone put away to avoid distraction, if you get distracted easily. All teachers have different rules so keep it somewhere that follows the rules at your school. Also, put it on silent so you don't get embarrassed if it goes off. This will help you stay focused and on task during class.

I hope these tips help you to be productive and organized this school year. Sorry for not posting last week. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed!

My New Year's Resolutions for 2019

Happy New Year!          Sorry for my extremely long break. School has been busy, and I never really had any ideas. But now I am (hopefully) back and ready to post. Well, let's get started with my resolutions!          My first resolution is to eat healthier. I will admit, I eat a lot of junk food, but this year (and beyond) I want to cut back on sugar and make it a habit to eat more fruits and vegetables.          My next resolution is to grow and improve as a dancer, that means work really hard in class, work on increasing my flexibility, and learning and teaching my self new moves, as well as making better choreography. I also have fun and exciting news! I'm taking a ballet exam this year! It was one my goals this school/dance year.          Another resolution is to read more books. I like to read but I haven't really read ...

Book Review- To Kill a Mockingbird

Hi guys, Today I'm going to be doing a book review on the book To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. Did I enjoy it?  YES! I really enjoyed reading this book, it was a good story and really made me think. This book is pretty thick and I read it starting in or around the month of January and I just finished on Tuesday. I really wanted to keep reading every time I put it down.  This book is a classic and was originally published in 1960. This book has two parts and is 31 chapters long.  This book uses a bad word frequently so if you don't understand or you're younger make sure you know that word is unacceptable. The Main Characters The main characters are Jean-Louise Finch (also called Scout)and Jem Finch. They appear the most in the book. This book was told in first person point of view. (Told by Scout) My Rating I give this book 4 and a half stars. It's a very good book to read, I truly recommend this book. I hope you enjoyed reading this book review. ...

Summer Dance Practice Tips!

Hi guys, Sorry I haven't been posting for 4 weeks. I have had the end of dance, school and my family went on vacation. So with all that aside, let's begin.  Today, I am going to be sharing some tips on getting summer dance practice in. My dance starts in September and ends in June so I have the whole summer off. I also start again most times a level higher. So here is some advice to help you  practice all summer break.  1. Stretching and conditioning      One thing you can do is stretch and keep your body strong. I own a yoga mat so I use it regularly to stretch and warm up if I am practicing, choreographing or doing improv. I am also doing pushups daily to work on strength. This is a good tip to boost your skills next year.  2. Improv  I improv on a regular basis. If you don't know what improv is it's freely dancing to music, it's not choreographed. I find this helps me with musicality and feeling happy. It helps when I'm choreogra...
