Book Review: The Secret of the Old Clock

Hey Guys,

Long time no see. Today I will be doing a book review on Nancy Drew: The Secret of the Old Clock by Carolyn Keene. I recently read this book and I really enjoyed it. Fun fact: My mom found 8 books in this series at a thrift store, two of those books were the book I am reviewing today. So without further ado lets get started.

This book is #1 in the series and if you wonder what the cover looks like just google "Nancy Drew" and it will come up in images. This is the revised version published in 1959 by Grosset & Dunlap. It's 20 chapters and 180 pages long. This book did not have a summary blurb any where on the cover or at the front of the book.

The main character in the book is Nancy Drew. Characters that appear a lot in this book are Mr. Drew, Hannah Gruen, Allison and Grace Hoover, the Topham family and Judy, Edna and Mary Turner. This book is set in around 1960 based on some of the images and what Nancy is wearing on the cover.  In this book Nancy solves the mystery around the second will of Josiah Crowley. She also catches the fake movers who locked her in a closet and stole from the Tophams and the Turners.

Overall I think this is a great book and I really enjoyed it. I totally recommend it and I see why it's a classic. Well see you soon. I hope you enjoyed!

My New Year's Resolutions for 2019

Happy New Year!          Sorry for my extremely long break. School has been busy, and I never really had any ideas. But now I am (hopefully) back and ready to post. Well, let's get started with my resolutions!          My first resolution is to eat healthier. I will admit, I eat a lot of junk food, but this year (and beyond) I want to cut back on sugar and make it a habit to eat more fruits and vegetables.          My next resolution is to grow and improve as a dancer, that means work really hard in class, work on increasing my flexibility, and learning and teaching my self new moves, as well as making better choreography. I also have fun and exciting news! I'm taking a ballet exam this year! It was one my goals this school/dance year.          Another resolution is to read more books. I like to read but I haven't really read ...

Book Review- To Kill a Mockingbird

Hi guys, Today I'm going to be doing a book review on the book To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. Did I enjoy it?  YES! I really enjoyed reading this book, it was a good story and really made me think. This book is pretty thick and I read it starting in or around the month of January and I just finished on Tuesday. I really wanted to keep reading every time I put it down.  This book is a classic and was originally published in 1960. This book has two parts and is 31 chapters long.  This book uses a bad word frequently so if you don't understand or you're younger make sure you know that word is unacceptable. The Main Characters The main characters are Jean-Louise Finch (also called Scout)and Jem Finch. They appear the most in the book. This book was told in first person point of view. (Told by Scout) My Rating I give this book 4 and a half stars. It's a very good book to read, I truly recommend this book. I hope you enjoyed reading this book review. ...

Summer Dance Practice Tips!

Hi guys, Sorry I haven't been posting for 4 weeks. I have had the end of dance, school and my family went on vacation. So with all that aside, let's begin.  Today, I am going to be sharing some tips on getting summer dance practice in. My dance starts in September and ends in June so I have the whole summer off. I also start again most times a level higher. So here is some advice to help you  practice all summer break.  1. Stretching and conditioning      One thing you can do is stretch and keep your body strong. I own a yoga mat so I use it regularly to stretch and warm up if I am practicing, choreographing or doing improv. I am also doing pushups daily to work on strength. This is a good tip to boost your skills next year.  2. Improv  I improv on a regular basis. If you don't know what improv is it's freely dancing to music, it's not choreographed. I find this helps me with musicality and feeling happy. It helps when I'm choreogra...
