A Short Story

Hey guys,

Sorry my posting has gone a little wonky lately, I haven't really had any ideas. If you have a post suggestion then leave it down below. So without further ado lets get started!

Today I'm going to be sharing a short story I wrote recently. Enjoy!


I closed my eyes and let the music flow through me. I finished, I heard some one clapping. I gazed over, I saw my friend Jess smiling back. "That looks so good Mackenzie!" She told me. "Thanks" I said as my cheeks turned pink. My act was really coming together. My schools talent show was coming up and I was really keen on performing and winning the best dance award. All of a sudden Kaylee, my enemy and her crew came over. "Do you really think you have a chance?" She snickered and walked away. After a few more days of preparing the talent show was finally here. It was after school and I was in my costume, ready to go on. I was extremely nervous, then my name was called. I walked on stage and took my pose. I looked at the audience and saw my parents smiling back, I saw Jess in the wings. The music started and the emotions took over, I moved across the stage. Time flew by and then I finished. The applause erupted through the gym, I curtsied and left the stage. I ran to Jess and we hugged for a long time. I watched Kaylee's group dance and it was quite good. All the performers took the stage for a final bow. The awards flew by until they got to the final award, the best dance award. "And the winner is....... Mackenzie!" I stood up, I had won! My vision went blurry as I started to cry. I surpassed everyone's expectations including my own.

Book Review- To Kill a Mockingbird

Hi guys, Today I'm going to be doing a book review on the book To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. Did I enjoy it?  YES! I really enjoyed reading this book, it was a good story and really made me think. This book is pretty thick and I read it starting in or around the month of January and I just finished on Tuesday. I really wanted to keep reading every time I put it down.  This book is a classic and was originally published in 1960. This book has two parts and is 31 chapters long.  This book uses a bad word frequently so if you don't understand or you're younger make sure you know that word is unacceptable. The Main Characters The main characters are Jean-Louise Finch (also called Scout)and Jem Finch. They appear the most in the book. This book was told in first person point of view. (Told by Scout) My Rating I give this book 4 and a half stars. It's a very good book to read, I truly recommend this book. I hope you enjoyed reading this book review. ...

My new story.

Hi guys, Today I'm sharing a story I just started writing. I haven't come up with a name yet but I do have ideas. It's about a girl named Willow who learns she has powers but she's in danger. I hope you like what I have written so far. Introduction  A car swerved onto a busy sidewalk, screams filled the air as a lone girl was hit. Her name was Willow. At that moment her life was about to change forever. Story I awoke to the sound of a constant beep, I heard talking coming from the end of my bed. I looked up, a woman with hazel eyes and sunny blonde hair dressed in scrubs looked back. She helped me sit up. " How are you doing?" the woman asked. " I'm nurse Everly."
